How to Animate Corona Light Mix

The Corona render Light Mix is a tool much loved by Corona users because, within the rendering, it allows users to modify, manage and adapt the light within the scene, in a simple and direct way, without having to each time new renderings of the scene.

After rendering in Corono in the Light Mix we can add, modify or remove lights directly within the render engine, and quickly adjust the intensity, color temperature, ambient lighting, fill lighting, and more.

Light Mix is an efficient way to achieve professional lighting results without having to use third-party software or manually adjust render parameters.

In this tutorial we see how to animate the lights of a 3D scene rendered in Corona, starting from the still frame. The basic principle is to have several rendering static images of different lighting of the same scene, then once rendered, you go to use a video editing software, such as After Effects, or in this case using Davinci Resolve, to create the fades, and scene masks to illuminate and animate.

What are the features of Corona render?

  1. Corona Renderer is a photorealistic rendering engine based on physically-based global illumination (GI).
  2. It supports a variety of materials, including surface materials, trim materials, massing materials, emission materials, and transmission materials.
