The Realistic Forest Pack is part of Epic Games’ free marketplace content for this month – which also includes 200 free grunge decals – and will be free until the end of December 2020.
This package includes high-quality demo maps, grass, flowers, rocks, and more. You can easily create your maps and generate all plants with material and procedural foliage volume. All plants support Pivot Painter 2.0. You can change wind strength and angle dynamically from Material Instance.
Free plant patterns typical of northwestern North American forests, from trees to grasses
The Realistic Forest Pack includes 75 digital plants: all species typical of Northwestern North American forests, including Alaskan cedar and trembling aspen, as well as ferns, cattail, clover, grasses, and flowers.
All plants are compatible with Unreal Engine’s Pivot Painter tool and include PBR materials and procedural foliage volumes.
In addition to the resources of the individual plants, the package includes a 4×4 km panoramic map with the plants spread over the land, plus a series of modular parts of roads and bridges.

Resources are delivered with up to three LODs; texture resolutions range from 1,024 x 1,024 px to 8,192 x 8,192 px.

The Realistic Forest is available for free via the Unreal Engine Marketplace in December 2020. It is compatible with Unreal Engine 4.22+.
