Jake Evil, a recent graduate of the School of Design at the Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), has created the “Cortex Cast“, a hygienic, recyclable, “user friendly” exoskeleton that guarantees skin breathing, the passage of light and to be able to wash the injured body part easily.
Goodbye to markers and forks
No more signatures and drawings on plaster: the “Cortex Cast” has an elegant and captivating design. Furthermore, unlike the classic cast, the cast allows the skin to breathe thus avoiding itching and discomfort.
The cortex cast is made using X-ray and 3D scanning of the patient to generate a 3D model for the fractured body part.
